Have you ever worked with a student who isn’t reading for Meaning? Maybe she is working on certain phonics patterns. Maybe he is reading quickly and isn’t taking the time to visualize what he’s reading about.
These sentences are written to be answered yes/no, on a late first grade through third grade decoding level. Students must think about what they’re reading. You can follow up with great conversations about meaning.
All of my materials with variations are created for my intervention students to get the most practice for their time. Materials are for use one-on-one, in small RTI tier 1, 2, or 3 groups, in centers, projected for smart-board or white-board use.
