Introducing PPT
In this PowerPoint the neighbors are excited to head down to the park! If you say TaKaDiMi syllables you’ll be headed over for Four Square where the neighbors learn about Sixteenth notes and how to say them with other neighbors. If you say Tika-tika then you’ll head to the Tennis courts and will meet Tika-tika and learn how to use the sixteenth notes in patterns with other neighbors.
Practicing PPT
We head to the food truck festival at the Note Neighborhood. We get lots of practice while waiting for food!
If you’re someone who uses the Tika-tika rhythm syllable system you’ll want to use the Power Point tagged with a “TT” because your eighth notes are called “Ti-Ti.” If you prefer the TaKaDiMi system you’ll choose the “TK” set and you’ll meet Ta’s friend Dion so that the eighth note set says “Ta-Di.” Both rhythm syllable sets are included in this package.
All Note Neighborhood sets include a story to meet the new neighbor, practice with the neighbors to ease students into the syllable system, and a practice page at the end. Most sets also include a SECOND full PPT with new stories to practice the concepts.
