Product Description
From Electric English...
This is a very interesting bit of information for the students. Here, you have a letter written from Jane to John. There are two versions of this letter. Both letters are the same, word for word... All that has been changed is the punctuation, and this, of course, changes the whole meaning, tone, and purpose of the letter. I have never had any other activity that I have tried to do with the students have more impact on them than this one. They are astounded; it never fails. And, it helps them realize that punctuation is important; not just some useless drivel that we teachers are always preaching. Will they always know the right place to put a comma after seeing this? No. But, I can promise, they will start thinking about it.
