Nouns PowerPoint + Mini Book Common Core Writing Illustrating Activity
This complete lesson about the different types of nouns consists of a twelve slide PowerPoint presentation along with a student mini-book which is eleven pages in length. The types of nouns covered are common nouns, proper nouns, singular nouns, plural nouns, pronouns, compound nouns, collective nouns, abstract nouns, singular possessive nouns, and plural possessive nouns.
Students write the meaning of each noun, give five examples, and write a sentence which contains the type of noun indicated. They also create an original illustration which matches the noun in their sentence. The mini-book pages can also be used in an interactive notebook too.
An answer key is included. The PowerPoint and the PDF pages of the noun mini-book have been combined in a zip file. Custom kid-friendly graphics have been added. Thanks to Cosmic Dog Designs for graphics!
