Check out this simple and FUN Flip and Clip task card center to practice identifying Nouns, Verbs and Adjectives and improve language vocabulary skills!
This center is a perfect addition to your daily 5/literacy centers and is a fun way to allow students to practice reading and sorting words into nouns, verbs or adjectives while being able to quickly check their work.
This literacy center/activity based on CCSS Conventions of Standard English for grades K-2. Students can play this sorting activity in centers or in guided reading. Follow up worksheets can be used as word work, morning work or an assessment for conventions.
These Clip and Flip center task cards are a great way to differentiate centers. They can be used as centers, small group or partner table work. With this special Clip and Flip center, students will identify each word as a noun, verb or adjective and then clip clothespin to the their answer. They can then flip the card over to check the answer.
Teacher tip – To make this center self checking I like to use a sharpie to make a small dot on the back of the card to mark the correct answer but color coded stickers work well too or, after laminating, dry erase markers or colored paperclips can be used instead of clothespins.
