Learning about parts of speech helps make children better speakers and writers. In these bundled resources (at 20% off), 1st and 2nd graders sort words into nouns, verbs, and adjectives. They practice reading and spelling as they place words in the appropriate columns on the Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives worksheet.
Categorization is an excellent activity for children because it encourages brain development! Sorting by part of speech is just one of many ways to categorize words. Thinking about words in different ways encourages mental flexibility in youngsters.
