This resource is a hands-on activity that helps students identify different types of nouns and verbs. Too often students are just required to differentiate between action verbs and common nouns. This resource requires students to identify between action verbs, linking verb, common nouns, proper nouns, pronouns, and abstract nouns from a list and to sort them as either a noun or a verb. This can be used for an individual, grade, an interactive notebook, a quick review, or group work.
Students simply cut out all words on the second page and glue them under the “Noun” or “Verb” category on the first page. A simple answer key is included.
