This is a large unit that focuses on the study of vocabulary related to food. In the first half of the unit, each food group has a section with activity pages such as matching, following directions, and word searches. There is an extensive set of word wall cards, with blank ones you can use to add your own. In the second half of the unit are activities to apply knowledge of the vocabulary in written, reading and oral exercises. Students will learn about ne and pas, as well as the use of verbs such as aimer and manger and will have lots of opportunities to practice simple french sentences.
Teacher instructions are in English, student instructions are mainly in French, but some are available in both languages. Answer keys and/or examples are included for all of the activities except the final project.
This unit has a variety of activities that can be used or adapted to multiple age groups in both early French Immersion and Beginner to Intermediate Basic French classes.
