These logs get students talking about texts NATURALLY! These pages are all you need to get students interacting with the text and with each other! They are also a great springboard for class discussions!
Students will read a text of your/their choice [students/teachers choose the texts]. They will record text title, page numbers, chapter #/title; they will make check mark choices for point of view [only on first chapter entry], characters, setting, and sequence; they will record 3 events/details; and finally, they will record something to read to find out! Therefore, these pages also give students a PURPOSE for reading. One "row" represents one chapter read. Designed for multiple uses, multi-use. See my Facebook page, Reading Response Creations, for comments, tips for use, and a filled-in sample!!
4 at home logs: 2 pages for signature required; 2 pages for without [each set includes a chapter entry for POV for 1st chapter only; next page is for continuation page]
2 in class logs: 1 page has POV entry for 1st chapter only; next page is continuation page. Designed for multiple uses, multi-use. See my Facebook page, Reading Response Creations, for comments, tips for use, and a filled-in sample!
Flexible use options:
-use with short and/or longer text
