This "Novel Idea" resource is geared toward helping teachers help their students dig deeper into texts as required by the Common Core. Many schools require specific programs, but this resource is meant to be used with read aloud "mentor texts". This allows ALL students access to higher level thinking--no matter what their independent reading level is! The resource is open ended enough that it can be used with your whole class, with a small group, or even for an independent book study. What does it include?
