Synopsis: Jamal is now the man of the house. His older brother Randy is in jail and he will be there for at least seven years. His mother is constantly worried about Randy and does not always seem to have enough time, or is too tired for Jamal and his younger sister, Sassy.
Randy was arrested while working for a street gang, the Scorpions. Now, Mack, the strange older teen who was Randy’s friend, wants Jamal to take over leadership of the gang. Running drugs for the gang seems to be the only way to raise money for an appeal for Randy.
