This is an excellent assignment to allow students with writing difficulty to explore story elements during a novel study. It is written in plain, clear language with step-by-step instructions and an organizer.
This is easily adaptable to any book and level. In the past, I have used it for middle school students with written-communication difficulties, but it works very well for younger grades as well.
This does not include a rubric for assessment, as I co-construct/personalize rubrics for students with special needs.
