Product Description
At the end of a novel study, I give my kids a unique project to complete based on their book. For this particular project, they will be designing a fictitious Pinterest page for a main character in their book. On their page, they will come up with a username that cleverly alludes to the character, draw an image for the character's profile pic, and then fill three boards: Funny, Books I LOVE, and Recipes. For this, they are imagining what their character WOULD pin if they COULD. What books would they love, based on what we know about them in our novel? What recipes would they want to save - are they healthy eaters, junk food fanatics, picky eaters, etc.? What would that character find funny, based on what we know from the novel. For these three categories, the kids will draw pictures of pins to represent items that would be pinned in that folder, if the character actually had an account. When we meet to share these, my kids have to justify each pin by explaining how it relates to what we learned about that character in the book. My kids loved this! Enjoy!

This download also includes a rubric to help you grade the project.
