This chart provides a way for students to organize their observations about the movie version of the classic E. B. White novel Charlotte's Web.
Rather than "just watching a movie," students will be able to analyze it effectively by comparing and contrasting it with the novel. As a graphic organizer, this chart heightens the students' attentive responses and improves their awareness of how the story of Charlotte, Wilbur, and themes of friendship can be presented through different media.
Two film versions of Charlotte's Web-- the animated 1973 movie and the live-character film from 2006-- are available on DVD at Amazon.com and elsewhere. Both run for a little more than an hour and a half.
