This chart provides a way for students to organize their observations about the movie version of the Newbery-award winning novel The Tale of Despereaux, by Kate DiCamillo.
Rather than "just watching a movie," students will be able to analyze it effectively by comparing and contrasting it with the novel. As a graphic organizer, this chart heightens the students' attentive responses and focuses their thoughts on how the quest to do something noble in The Tale of Despereaux can be presented through different media.
The film for The Tale of Despereaux is available on DVD at Amazon.com and elsewhere. It runs for 94 minutes.
