This Novel study can be applied to any novel. It works on a pints system which allows students to choose which activities to complete.
Activities allow for different learning abilities/needs, are enjoyable and allow for higher level thinking.
• Choose one feeling/issue from the book. Create a y chart about what it looks like, feels like, sounds like.
• Find 10 examples of language features such as similes and metaphors from your novel and write them down
• I wonder. What made you wonder in the novel? Write 3 ‘I wonder’ questions about the novel. Eg. I wonder what would have happened if Johnny had caught the bus on time. After each question I would like you to give all the possible answers you can think of.
