Product Description
Engage your early readers, maintain a guided reading routine, and reinforce early literacy skills, concepts of print, writing skills, sight words, opposites, parts of speech, sequence, and vocabulary with my "November Emergent Readers and Response Activities" Growing Bundle. It will contain 8 black and white, simple, predictable and semi predictable readers and at least 2 corresponding activities per reader.

"Making Turkey" This reader uses the sight words he, she, we, can, the, and simple text to tell how to make a turkey. In response, students will trace a sentence starter, complete a sentence, and draw a picture to tell how they can help make a turkey. They will also cut and glue pictures to sequence and retell the story.

"Big Bear, Little Bear" This reader uses the sight words big, little, has, and a to tell things that big bear and little bear both have, while reinforcing the concept of opposites. I have included two writing prompts. Students will trace a sentence starter, complete a sentence, and draw a picture to tell something else that big bear and little bear could have. I have also included a big/little puzzle center game. Students will match pictures to the word big or little. There is a black and white and full color version. This can be used when reading "Goldilocks and the Three Bears".

"Forest Fun" This reader uses the sight words we, can, she, he, on, a, the, and action verbs to tell different activities that you can do in the forest. In response, students will trace a sentence starter, complete a sentence, and draw a picture to tell something else that they can do in the forest. To practice using the proper pronoun, students will complete sentences to match pictures with he, she, or we. I have also included a pronoun puzzle center game. Students will match pictures to the word he, she, or we. There is a black and white and full color version.

"Turkey in Disguise" This reader uses the sight words look, at, that, and funny to show a turkey in different disguises. In response, students will trace a sentence starter, complete a sentence, and draw a disguise on a turkey. As an alternative, students can create a "Turkey in Disguise" class book. There is a cover page and two writing templates, one with and the other without a traceable sentence starter. Students can draw, paint, or use craft materials to create a disguise for the turkey. I have also included full color fluency puzzles.

"Up in the Air" This reader uses the sight words look, up, I, can, see, and a to tell different types of air transportation. In response, students will trace a sentence starter, complete a sentence, and draw something else they can see in the air. I have also included full color fluency puzzles.

"Big Dino, Little Dino" This reader uses the sight words big, little, is, in, by, and a to tell where big dinosaur and little dinosaur are, while reinforcing the concept of opposites. I have included two writing prompts. Students will trace a sentence starter, complete a sentence, and draw a picture to tell somewhere else that big dinosaur and little dinosaur could be. I have also included a big/little puzzle center game. Students will match pictures to the word big or little. There is a black and white and full color version.

"We are Veterans!" This reader uses the sight words we, are, in, and the to show people in different branches of the armed forces. In response, students will trace a sentence starter, complete a sentence, and draw themselves in the military branch that they would want to be a part of. I have also included full color fluency puzzles and a Veteran's Day coloring page.

"Some are Up, Some are Down" This reader uses the sight words up, down, this, is, on, in, and the to tell the position of different animals, while reinforcing the concept of opposites.
