This PowerPoint has 2 days of logical reasoning problems. There are 5 problem slides and 5 solution slides for each day. I teach math problem solving to 1st-5th grade. I have used these slides with my gifted 1st and 2nd graders and with my regular 3rd and 4th grade classes.
The problems require students to put 4 items in sequence based on clues, then answer a question once the items are in the correct sequence.
The first letters of the items are used as the symbol for the draw a picture strategy.
My students used their individual whiteboards and dry erase markers to solve the problems. I used a checklist to tally correct responses.
Because every other slide is a solution slide, it could be used as a self checking activity for Chromebooks or computers as a math center.
