Searching for some math centers for the month of November? Here you go! I created these math centers for my own first grade classroom to review some of the skills I've already taught or that I will be teaching in the month of November. In this set you will get EIGHT math centers sure to keep your firsties engaged and learning during math time!
The centers included are:
1.) Serving Up Doubles: Students will match doubles facts to their answer before filling out a recording sheet. A set of challenge cards is included for those students who need some enrichment! Also provided in black in white. This center addresses 1.OA.C.5.
2.) Turkey Hop: Students will use a number line to solve both addition and subtraction problems.Two sets of cards are included to allow you to differentiate. One set uses a number line from 0-10 and the other set uses numbers from 0-20. There is a recording sheet for each version. This center addresses 1.OA.C.5.
3.) Turkey Tally Rally: Students will match cards with numerals, tally marks, and base ten block representations. Two sets of cards are included-one for representations of 'teen' numbers and one with representations from 20-50. A recording sheet for each version is included. This center addresses 1.NBT.A.1 and 1.NBT.B.2.
4.) Thanksgiving True or False: Students will sort equations as being either true or false. This center is provided in both color and black and white! A recording sheet is also included. This center addresses 1.OA.D.7.
5.) Thanksgiving Addition & Subtraction Clip Cards: Students will use a clothespin or paper clip to clip the correct answer for an addition or subtraction fact. These facts are all plus/minus 0, 1, and 2. Blank versions are included for you to make your own facts if desired and both color and black and white versions are provided. A recording sheet is also included. This center addresses 1.OA.C.6.
6.) Pilgrim Partners: Students will turn over cards to find matches for ten. Alternatively, the cards can also be used to play a Go Fish style game. A more challenging version for combinations for 20 is also included. Plus, I gave you the cards in both color and black and white! Recording sheets for each version of the game are included. This center addresses 1.OA.B.3 as well as 1.OA.C.6.
7.) Mayflower Missing Number: Students will determine the missing number in a sequence of numbers. I included a range of numbers (numbers less than 30, numbers to 100, and numbers 101-120) to allow you to differentiate as you need to. Recording sheets for each set are included as well as a black and white version of the cards. This center addresses 1.NBT.A.1.
8.) All the Family Is Here: Students will match fact family cards to the corresponding fact family. There are 3 sets of cards for differentiation and variety: one set is for numbers totaling 5 or less, one set is for numbers totaling 10 or less, and one more challenging set is for numbers totaling up to 20. The recording sheet can be used for all of the sets. Also, I included a black and white version of the cards. This center addresses 1.OA.C.6.
