PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In this pack you will get a total of 7 math tub/center games focused on the kindergarten skills of number recognition, number formation, counting, counting forward from a number other than 1, constructing 2-D shapes, and comparing sets. These simple games will get your kinder students working independently and successfully during math rotations! Simply print the number of copies you will need for your math center groups, laminate for durability, and add any needed manipulatives such as dice, play dough, cubes, counters, or dry erase markers. I store each of my math tub games separately in a tub on my rolling cart.
Please read on for directions to the following math games:

Roll and Cover
*What you’ll need: Laminated game boards (enough for each student in your small group), dice, laminated acorn counters (or you can provide seasonal manipulatives or counters).
*How to Play: Each student will get a Roll and Cover game board, game die, and 12 acorn counters. Students roll the game die, count the dots, find that number on their game board, and cover it. Students keep rolling the die until all numbers are covered.
*Differentiation: Students who are ready for a challenge can be given the Roll and Cover 2-12 game board and two game die. Have them roll both dice, count the total, and cover the matching number.

Roll and Trace
*What you’ll need: Laminated game boards (enough for each student in your small group), dice, dry erase or vis-à-vis markers.
*How to Play: Each student will get a Roll and Trace 1-6 game board, game die, and dry erase or vis-à-vis marker. Students roll the game die, count the dots, find that number on their game board, and trace it. Students keep rolling the die until all numbers are traced.
*Differentiation: Students who are ready for a challenge can be given the Roll and Trace 2-12 game board and two game die. Have them roll both die, count the total, and cover the matching number.

November Count the Room
*What you’ll need: Laminated counting picture cards hung up around your classroom, recording sheet, pencils, clipboards
*How to Play: Each student will get a recording sheet on a clipboard. They will search the room for each of the pictures on their recording sheet. Once the card with the matching pictures is found, they should count the pictures on the card and record the number next to that picture on their sheet.

Turkey Ten Frames
*What you’ll need: Laminated number turkeys and ten frames cut apart for matching, recording sheet, crayons or markers
*How to Play: Each student will get a recording sheet. They will start by matching a number turkey to its corresponding ten frame. After creating the match, they will find the number turkey on their recording sheet and fill in the ten frame to match with dots using crayons or markers. They will continue until all matches are found.

Turkey Numbers Big and Small
*What you’ll need: Laminated number/ten frame star cards cut apart and placed upside down on the table; recording sheet, pencils
*How to Play: Each student will choose 2 number cards and flip them over to read the numbers. They will compare the 2 cards to determine which is bigger and which is smaller. They will then write the bigger number on the bigger turkey on their recording sheet and write the smaller number on the smaller turkey.

Roll and Write 2 More
*What you’ll need: Recording sheet, dice, pencils
*How to Play: Each student will roll the dice, count the dots, and record the numeral on the turkey on their recording sheet. They will then write the next two numbers in the two empty boxes (for example: 5, 6, 7).

2-D Shape Play Dough Mats
*What you’ll need: Laminated mats (square, circle, triangle, rectangle, hexagon) and play dough
*How to Play: Students will use play dough to create the 2-D shapes on each mat.
