### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Each morning, students work on their morning math during their morning business time. They keep these sheets in their morning folders.There are 3 problems to do daily (M-F) and it is just enough time to work on them without it being too difficult and too long to do. I included a practice skill section that focuses on multi-step word problems. On Fridays, I have my students work on the Friday section as well as the practice skill section. My students practice the RULES strategy when solving word problems. Please see my RULES checklist in my TPT store for more information.

I organize the questions by the day. Mondays are word problems (regrouping or no regrouping) ,Tuesdays are place value, Wednesdays are money questions, Thursdays are a mix of even and odd numbers and comparing numbers with skip counting. On Fridays, there are time questions and the practice skill (multi-step word problem) to work on.

FYI: There is a mix of no regrouping and regrouping for the word problems. I also alternated even and odd numbers with comparing numbers. In addition, I included a mix of money problems where they have to draw out the coins or count the coins to write the amount.

Towards the end of the day, we go over and correct the answers together as a class or I pick students to go over the problems. This is a great way to reinforce and practice math skills that students need to work on. There are 4 weekly sheets to do for the month of November. In addition, these questions and problems are aligned to Grade 2 Common Core State Standards. There is also a math reference sheet to print out for students to keep in their folders so that they can use it a guide. It includes most of the major math skills that second graders should know and understand.

I have seen a great improvement in my studentsâ€™ skills and understanding of math concepts just from continuous practice and using these morning math sheets. I hope these will be helpful in your classroom as it has been in mine.
