This month two additional reading passages are added to connect poetry to nonfiction reading passages. The Veteran’s Day passage will give readers the opportunity to learn more about why we honor Veterans and help them understand the terminology used in the poem for that week.
The “Be Thankful” center gives students the opportunity to learn about point-of-view. Students will compare a poem and a fiction text.
