Description

This resource is designed to make November Science and Social Studies easy for teachers while being fun AND educational for the kids!

Why use Science and Social Studies Activities for November? The elementary classroom is such a busy place, it’s difficult for teachers to find time in the school day for the “fun” subjects like Science and Social Studies. These activities are based on the November calendar as well as the interests of children. They can practice important reading, writing, and thinking skills while learning about fun topics!

How it works: Each activity has a minimal amount of prep and a whole lot of learning! Just print and go, while watching children learn and practice important skills

What’s included: This is a collection of 7 fun activities with Science and Social Studies topics for the month of November. These are designed for second graders based on some of the Next Generation Science and Social Studies Standards. Topics include a Turkey Fact Book, Creating a Nutritious Meal, a close read on Daylight Savings Time, a STEM challenge using leftover Halloween candy corn, Thanksgiving long ago: fact or fiction, What is a Veteran, and Mapping the Classroom.
