Do you want your students to be motivated and (gasp) actually EXCITED for morning work/journal time?
Do you want to learn about the Lystrosaurus, moon rocks, the sinking of the Essex, Ben Franklin's junto, or the very first American auto race?
I have created 30 original (and high interest!!) short passages for students to read, illustrate, and compose short response paragraphs for. Each passage reflects something in world history that happened upon that day.
Also included are 5 different writing templates that can be printed out for each student. The writing templates include ample space for illustration.
Students are asked to design new postage stamp honoring a hero, draw and label a new invention, and imagine the sights, sounds, and smells around an active volcano.
My own students LOVE morning writing and are becoming true historic buffs thanks to the fun facts that they learn each day.
