PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Are you and your students confused about what it really means to be NOVICE or INTERMEDIATE or ADVANCED or even SUPERIOR level on the ACTFL K-12 or ACTFL OPI scale?

This CLEAR and COLORFUL, ANIMATED presentation for every level can be used when students complete all of the classroom task requirements for the level. Students and instructors will both begin to see the nuances of each level and sub level.

Also, these presentation can be used in an informal way to pair up students to complete different level tasks. The levels can be placed in a hat and drawn at random. Also, they can be printed out and the students and teacher can write possible challenge tasks on the other side for opposing teams to perform.

Also, these could be expanded to make bigger posters to be copied and posted on the classroom bulletin board.

Soon instructors and students alike will begin to see proficiency is not just about verbs conjugated and vocabulary recalled but entails a more complex set of features which we now know are learned by the brain at its own natural pace, usually all occurring at the same time.

This document contains over 10 pages with colorful, general badge descriptions for: Novice Low, Novice Mid, Novice High, Intermediate Low, Intermediate Mid, Intermediate High, Advanced Low, Advanced Mid, Advanced High, Superior.

Please note these are not meant to indicate in any way that the student has an Official ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview Rating. Those can only be obtained through Language Testing International, the ACTFL Testing Office. http://www.languagetesting.com/
