Arithmetic Sequences: Four fun activities and teacher tools to help students develop and practise the ability to find the nth term of an arithmetic sequence. Includes:
*Nth Term Matching Activity*
Students must match each sequences to its 10th term and nth term rule.
*Complete the Sequence*
A set of sequences for students to find the first few terms, the 10th term, 20th, 100th and nth term expression. As they progress, different starting information is given to make the task more challenging: if you know the nth term, what is the 10th term?
*IWB Activity: Find the Sequence*
Students have to find an arithmetic sequence from a set of scrambled numbers. The sequence is randomly generated so the activity can be done over and over again by refreshing the page. Requires flash player (usually runs in a web browser).
*IWB Tool: Nth Term of Sequences*
A set of randomly generated sequences for students to find the the nth term rule for. The answers can be revealed at the click of a button. Also requires flash player.
