This resource is also part of the Nuclear Chemistry Bundle!
This Visual of Nuclear Decay worksheet is a great introductory activity to half life! Students follow directions on the worksheet to visually reduce a "sample" by half 10 times in a row...and they keep track of the "amount" of the sample at these incremental times...then they graph the data and learn the shape of a half-life graph (exponential decay). They answer questions about the shape of the graph and the concept of half-life, and they conduct a little extra research into the technique of carbon dating and how this activity relates to it.
