Product Description
PPT, exit ticket, check for understanding questions, embedded video clips, and visuals on the advantages and disadvantages of nuclear energy!

I start out with teaching students about the 2011 Fukushima Nuclear Disaster in Japan, showing them pictures, maps, and clips on the crisis. A clip to actual news footage in 2011 is included. Students then are shown maps of the US and the world, showing them the location of nuclear power patterns. I have students discuss trends they see on the maps prior to moving on. Advantages and disadvantages is then discussed followed by a multiple response strategy involving true/false statements.

This is a straightforward yet engaging lesson that will yield discussion and interest from your students!!
