PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This Nuclear Energy package shows how nuclear power is produced and the energy transformations that must happen in order to make electricity.

The package includes an editable, interactive PowerPoint presentation which shows how nuclear energy is released from uranium atoms, and the types of transformations the energy undergoes in order to make Nuclear Power into electricity.

The presentation makes liberal use of diagrams and pictures to illustrate the points simply and clearly. This presentation is suitable for multiple grade levels.

The package also includes a nuclear energy reading comprehension article, an Illustrated nuclear energy vocabulary sheet, a crossword puzzle, and four extension projects to enable students to explore additional nuclear power related topics and issues.

This package covers, in a simple, straightforward way, what nuclear energy is, how nuclear energy is transformed to electricity, and nuclear power’s environmental benefits and challenges. These materials are aligned with Common Core, and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and follow the 5E method as well.
