These practice cards can be used for 3rd grade students to practice and prepare for the cognitive abilities test. You could use these in a variety of ways. Here are a couple of suggestions:
Option 1: Print and laminate several copies of the the number analogies page and attach velcro to the nine boxes with the question mark. Print and laminate one copy of the number tiles page for every nine copies of the number analogies page. Cut apart the number tiles and attach velcro to the back of each number tile in the set. Students can match and attach the number tiles on the analogies page. The answers 1-9 are used exactly one time.
Option 2: Print and laminate several copies of the number analogies page. Cut the 9 analogy cards apart and put in a storage bag or container. Write the answers on the back of each card for self-checking option, have students use a dry erase marker to write in answers, or have them order the cards by the answer found; 1-9. Number tiles not needed for this option. You may choose to use the copy with question marks or the copy with empty squares to fill in.
