Copy the game cards on cardstock. I prefer to use a color that you cannot see through….tan usually works well!
Cut out all the numbered game cards and the 16 “treasure” cards.
Place all of the cards face down in the middle of the table in a stack.
Students in a small group would take turns drawing one card. Depending on which skill you are working on have the child ID the number that they drew and then have them tell the group what number would come before (if you are working on number before) OR have them tell you the number after (if you are working on number after).
Students will take turns drawing cards and answering. I have the kids keep their cards in front of them so the cards don’t get mixed back into the pool.
If a student draws a “treasure” card, they don’t have to answer that turn and they hold onto their treasure cards until the end. The student with the most treasures at the end is the winner that day!
