Number Buddy Cards (11-20) demonstrate a variety of ways a given number may be represented in everyday life. The goal is do demystify the various symbols and show how they are all expressing the same number. Early exposure to these symbols translates to confidence later!
The number will be shown on each Number Buddy Card in the following ways:
fingers representing quantity
analog clock time (numbers 11 & 12)
marbles for quantity and distinguishing even and odd
ten frame representation
10 sign and color coded numbers for distinguishing between the ones and tens place
Number Buddy Crew uses visual clues to help early mathematicians anchor number sense, concepts, and skills to memorable cartoon characters. The character, or Number Buddy, is a visual representation of the number or math concept. Hints are all around and wrapped into each character’s appearance and identity.
This pack is perfect for teaching and reviewing one on one, during guided math, in math stations, in small groups, or with the whole class. Print once, laminate, and reuse!
