Product Description
This is a great way for students to learn number comparisons and other number concepts. First, cut out the numbers from 0-20 and tape them on an open wall. Next, use paint sticks and adhere them to the back of the full pages. The students use these as covers for the numbers. One student stands by the number 0 with their cover and one stands by the number 20. The teacher has a mystery number in their head. The rest of the class begins thinking about a number they think the teacher is thinking about. If, for example, the number was supposed to be 10, the dialog might go like this... “Susie says, “Is the number 9?” Teacher says, “No, it is more than 9.” The student by the 0 goes and covers up 9. Billy says, “Is it 11.” Teacher says, “No, it is less than 11. The student by the 20 covers up the 11. Mia says, “ Is it 10?” The teacher says, “Yes, It’s a Monster Mash!” (Or you can say Ho Ho Ho for Christmas, Luck ‘O the Irish for March etc. Students can also work on other concepts like addition, subtraction, or counting-on using this fun number line! ENJOY!!!
