This is a whole lesson looking at dividing fractions, including more challenging mixed fractions. This is often taught over two lessons, so there are extra questions included and it is essential to do a lesson on multiplying fractions first. This lesson is applicable for KS3 and KS4.
This lesson involves a starter, keywords, learning objectives, plenty of examples, questions with answers and plenary. It goes very clearly through the 'KFC' method and link to multiplying fractions. This lesson not only helps with learning how to divide fractions but also will help pupils become more confident with multiplying fractions as well. The lesson is differentiated by single fractions and mixed fractions.
This is the seventh of 9 lessons that I teach on Fractions, which is available as an excellent bundle at a reduction and covers all material for teaching fractions at a secondary level.
