Product Description

Number Line Race

Object: to be the first player to land exactly on square 1 or square 20

How to Play:

• Each player needs a record sheet and a game marker.  Players share a gameboard, two dice numbered 1-6, and one die numbered 4-9.
• Players place their game marker on square 10 of their number line.
• The first player spins the spinner.  If the player gets a subtraction sign, he/she will move the marker back towards the 1 by subtracting from 10.
• If the players gets an addition sign, he/she will move the marker forward towards the 20 by adding to 10.

• The player can then choose to roll 1, 2, or all 3 of the dice.  Add the dice together and move forward or backward that many spaces.
• Write an equation to show what happened.
• Player 2 goes.
• Players take turns until someone lands exactly on square 1 or square 20 and wins the game.
• If a player rolls a number they can’t use, they lose their turn.
• This has a Jack in the Beanstalk theme to go with Bridges Grade 2, Unit 2 Lessons. Find another Bridges Game here.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS GAMEBOARD IS MEANT TO BE PRINTED ON LEDGER SIZE PAPER....SELECT THIS ON YOUR PRINTER SETTINGS. IT CAN STILL BE PRINTED ON LETTER SIZE, OF COURSE, IT WILL JUST BE A MUCH SMALLER GAMEBOARD, BUT STILL WORKS JUST AS WELL!
