Have fun with this group math game!
One student chooses a "mystery number"... let's say it's 17. That student calls on other students to guess the number.
If the mystery number (17) is greater than the guessed number (13), the student at the board moves the peanut butter to the number 13.
Call on another student.
If the mystery number (still 17) is less than the guessed number (21), the student at the board moves the jelly to the number 21.
This continues until the peanut butter and jelly deliciously meet at the number 17.
You can change numbers to meet the needs of your students.
Game can be played as a large group, smaller "leveled groups" to pinpoint sets of numbers, or played independently as a choice.
Copy pages with new sets of numbers you create on additional pages of your flip chart and you will have a collection of number sets to use in the future!
