~Number Line with Polka Dots~
This cute number line will look adorable bordering your classroom. This file contains three different number lines. The counting by ones number line features the numbers 1-180, with alternating numbers backed on red with white polka dots and white with red polka dots (see preview). The counting by fives numbers are backed on a multi colored polka dot background. The counting by tens number line is backed on a yellow and white striped background.
*Please note before purchasing: These are small number cards that you place side by side. This product does NOT come with an actual "line" to place under or above the numbers. It comes with alternating pattern number cards from 1-180 to count the days of school.*
The use of these number cards are endless. They can be used for:
1.) Class number line (when put side by side--does not come with an actually "line")
2.) Class number grid
3.) Flash cards
4.) Numbering items in your classroom
5.) Teaching how to count by fives
6.) Teaching how to count by tens
7.) Math center game for number order for 1s, 5s, and 10s
In my classroom, during calendar time, we add a number to our class number line every day up until the last day (180). This gives us the opportunity to talk about the increase in number, as well as identify an AB pattern (with the alternating backgrounds). When we learn about counting by 10s, I add those numbers to our counting by ones number line (above the counting by ones number) so that the students can see the different pattern. They know to look for that specific pattern (yellow and white stripes) when we practice counting by 10s. The same goes for counting by fives.
*The backgrounds used on these number lines were purchased from Scrappin Doodles (www.scrappindoodles.com) and Goodness and Fun (www.mygrafico.com).*
Enjoy your number line!
