This is a 5-page, 4-part review of chapter one in the grade 6 Math In Focus textbook titled "Positive Numbers and The Number Line." There are at least 2 questions per skill area for practice. Concepts covered in this review pack include:
-drawing horizontal and vertical number lines for a given range of numbers
(whole numbers, fractions, and decimals all included)
-expressing a number as a product of its prime factors
-finding common factors of a pair of numbers
-finding the greatest common factor of a pair of numbers
-finding the first three common multiples of a pair of numbers

Included answer key contains step-by-step directions of sixth grade-appropriate methods used to arrive at each questions' answer, including models of how to correctly utilize the 'ladder method' to factor a number down to primes, find the greatest common factor of two numbers, find the least common multiple of two numbers, and calculate both square roots and cube roots.
