Number Lines for the primary grades - Number Lines, Ten Frames, and Rekenreks - Tools to Build Number Sense
This product is a small portion of a comprehensive bundle of activities with everything you need to help the primary learner construct the developmental steps of making tens, thus building a foundation for number sense.
*A collection of Ten Frames
Ten Frames, provided in black and white and in color, can be used as flash cards to offer a quick image during group instruction and as a practice task in a workstation. A small set of cards can be used to replace other decks of cards to offer variety to math games.
*A collection of Rekenrek Cards
Rekenreks can be used in the same way as ten-frames. Both are important tools which help the young learner:
*keep track of counting
*see number relationships
*learn addition to 10
*understand place value
*20 Number Lines and additional practice sheets
Adding and subtracting on number lines is an important yet difficult task for many primary students. Students will practice locating numbers on the number line and begin to construct the concept of adding up to 10 and progress up to 20.
Note: Consider printing on card-stock or laminating cards for long term use.
