The bears are back - and it mostly thanks to Dj Inkers for doodling such cute bears! :) Following so many requests to add to the pack I had created months back - I decided to create this pack to reinforce beginning number skills. I know when I was a child, math and number work wasn't exactly my favorite so this pack includes so many fun activities to help get your students excited about MATH! I mainly created it to help me tutor the little ones at this stage.
Here is what's included:
*Number Bears Ordering: Students match the number bears with their corresponding number word cards. (numbers to 53). Recording sheets included.
*Bears Steal Honey Jars. Game 1: Number sequencing game. Students use cards and read the number sequence, they record the missing number on their recording sheets. Game 2: students read aloud their sequences and compete with their group.
*Dancing Bears. Number values practice. Students sort the cards into the correct honey jars. (< than ten, > than ten, = to ten).
Busy Bears with Ten Frames. Students match the ten frame cards with the number cards given. They record their work.
*Honey Jar Fight. Basic addition pair game. Students play as pairs adding with the tally cards or with dice and record their work.
Add & Color Pair Game. Students roll the dice, add their numbers and then color in their numbers on their worksheets. The person who colors in all of them first wins.
*Printables. These were designed for ESL/ELL students or for whole class assessment / further practice on beginning number skills. The pages marked with ESL can be used easily with intervention students.
