I made this lesson after realising how poor pupils are real-life maths problems and assumed common sense was not learnt yet. This was reflected by how poorly older pupils did with number problem questions in exams.
The lesson is designed for younger pupils in KS2 and KS3 to build some of these cross-curricular and functional maths skills. The lesson is fairly simple in the eyes of some, but involves around be able to write numbers into words and vice versa and ordering food from a menu, with different money questions, like change and tips. It is a lesson, so it comes with a starter, learning objectives, teaching slides, ANSWERS and plenary.
I am starting to upload more functional lessons, so if you do like this one, then do look in my shop and look out for more coming.
