Number Mats 0-20 Farm

These easy to prepare farm number mats, 0-20, for preschool and kindergarten, are designed to develop skills in number recognition, number formation, counting quantities, and cardinality. They are ideal for use as either an intervention or resource activity or as an independent math center. The numbers have green, yellow, and red dots along with arrows to guide correct formation. They are perfect for finger tracing, using dry erase markers, or play dough. Naming the number while engaged in formation helps to develop number recognition. The number mats are available in two formats, full-color or minimal color (dots on numbers). Quantities on the farm may be represented with plastic farm animal counters, craft pebbles, or play dough balls. Included are pages of color and black/ white cows (32), pigs (40), and chicks (42), which can be used as counters. With younger children or children with disabilities, three-dimensional manipulatives are recommended.
