Our Grade 6 activities examine numerous topics that encompass equivalent fractions, order of operations, factors, multiples, prime factorization, operations with numbers, estimation and fluent computation.

greatest common factor of a set of positive integers.

?Identify multiples of a positive integer and common multiples and
the least common multiple of a set of positive integers.

?Modeling addition and subtraction situations involving fractions
with objects, pictures, words, and numbers.

?Use addition and subtraction to solve problems involving fractions
and decimals.

?Use multiplication and division of whole numbers to solve
problems including situations involving equivalent ratios and rates.

?Estimate and round to approximate reasonable results and to
solve problems where exact answers are not required.

?Use order of operations to simplify whole number expressions
(without exponents) in problem solving situations.

The activities can be used to Assess concepts, Introduce concepts, Review concepts, and to help students Retain the concepts that have been taught. Our Math Activities can be used in a variety of ways to “AIRR” out your math curriculum. Section One contains a numbered list of activities. Each activity is explained using a step-by-step process identifying the group size and materials needed to complete the task. Some of the activities have matching activity cards and practice sheets which are found in Section Two, Activity Sheets. The top right side of each set of activity cards, and practice sheet corresponds with the matching activity number. An answer key is conveniently provided in Section Three.
