Number Order Puzzles - Common Core Math Center for Pre-K, Kindergarten
These 8 number order puzzles are a great way for students to get more practice counting 1-20, develop number sense and have some fun too! Each puzzle is made up of five strips (1-5, 6-10, 11-15, or 16-20). There are two puzzles for each number set, to add variety. The numbers are not associated with the count of the objects within the picture, that way the students are concentrating on the numerals, and putting them in order, rather than counting pictures. They also will get practice beginning their count with numbers other than one. Use these puzzles for math centers, individual play, or partner play. Print on card stock and laminate for long term use. Great for Pre-K and homeschoolers too.
This activity aligns with the Kindergarten Common Core State Standards:
K.CC.A.2 - Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
K.CC.B.4a - When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
