Product Description
Number Paths are preferred for Kindergarten and First Grade versus Number Lines. Number lines are a measurement model (continuous) while number paths are a counting model (discrete).

It is much easier to count an object (rectangle) than to make sense of a measurement (number line). The number line requires students to make sense of a distance from zero and students are developmentally not ready for this.

This set of materials is in three sizes (desk or table top, small group wall mounted, classroom wall mounted. It comes in gray and white for inexpensive printing on cardstock using a laser printer. It also comes in red and white to mimic the color pattern or the Rekenrek (Number Rack).
