Are you looking for a quick and fun way to assess your students' understanding of patterns?
These pattern task cards include 24 problems that will help your students develop a deeper understanding of numeric patterns.
They are rigorous and common core aligned with 4th grade standard: 4.OA.C.5:
“Generate a number or shape pattern that follows a given rule. Identify apparent features of the pattern that were not explicit in the rule itself.” They would also work well as a review for fifth-graders (5.OA.B.3) or an extension activity for third-graders (3.OA.D.9).
This Pack Includes:
In this pack, I have provided the following options for you to use as you best see fit. My recommendation would be to print them on cardstock and laminate for future use, but I’ve also used them in our interactive math notebooks. They would be great to use for math centers, individual practice, or even a whole-group lesson.
