Number Puzzle Matchup Sets are designed to be very challenging, unless you know the secret: Each puzzle has a set of numbers that only appear once on the puzzle. For example, on the EVEN NUMBERS version of the puzzle, only the even numbers appear once. By finding and assembling the two, four, six and eight, the puzzle becomes much easier to complete. There are three different puzzles: one for Even Numbers, one for Odd Numbers, and one for Prime Numbers. Older students can be given the puzzle without the hint and instead given the clue that some numbers do not repeat to make the puzzles more challenging. Giving no hint makes the puzzles extremely challenging.
Puzzles can be printed directly on card stock, trimmed and used. For heavier pieces, mount to cardboard or mat board. Or to make more durable puzzle kits for the classroom, detailed step-by-step instructions are included using craft store supplies.
Puzzles need to be printed in color on 11 x 17 paper.
These puzzles make wonderful enrichment activities and help sharpen critical thinking skills.
