Description

Here’s a free sample set of 7 pet themed math activities to help you teach preschoolers and kindergarteners to recognize the numerals 0-4. These activities are designed to support systematic, sequential instruction for students who benefit from repeated exposure.

There are two activities (count to recognize mat, ten frame mat) that focus on teaching recognition of a single numeral (4) and five (number tower mat, how many worksheet, color by number worksheet, spin & trace worksheet, and roll & say worksheet) to provide cumulative review for the numerals 0-4.

You’ll need to provide one-inch counters and linking cubes or stacking counters. Aside from typical classroom supplies, you might also want to have play dough on hand.

The minimal color formats are black/ white except for green, yellow, and red dots on the numerals. If you print these in black/ white, the colored dots will be shades of gray.
