This is a game I created to exercise my students' brains mathematically. It can be a 30 minute game, or a 2 minute time-filler. The goal is for the kids to apply divisibility rules, recognize prime and composite numbers, factors and multiples, evens and odds, place value, and more.
Here's the Short Version:
Each student is given a number card. The teacher then calls out from the set of Mental Math cards. Students calculate and respond accordingly. "Jackpot!!"
Other variations can be played, and have been included.
Example of Mental Math Cards:
You've hit the Jackpot if your number is odd/even.
You've hit the Jackpot if your tens place is a ________.
You've hit the Jackpot if your number is divisible by six.
You've hit the Jackpot if your ones place is prime.
Vocabulary that is used:
prime, composite, digit, multiple, factor, even, odd, squared, sum, product, add, subtract, divide, multiply, single, double, triple, positive, negative
