There are a lot of math curriculum programs out there. Some good, some not so good, but the thing they are all missing to a great extent is helping students develop number sense. It is a really easy thing, but often gets overlooked among all the standards and procedures and tests. So, to help you and your students supplement this all important area, here are 6 number sense games with several degrees of difficulty that can be played in your classroom on a daily basis. Each takes between 10 and 20 minutes and can be played with almost no supplies. Playing these games for just 10 minutes each day will show a dramatic increase in your students number sense ability; their ability to reason about numbers and manipulate numbers in ways that will improve their math skills overall!! Without even trying, your students math skills will increase, as will those dreaded test scores!!!
